Modern French (28mm)
« on: January 25, 2012, 07:41:36 AM »
Since my modern modern French (mostly Eureka with a few D&P) are now finished, I took the chance to update my blog with photos:

And to give you a teaser:

Enjoy,

Nice. The Eureka French are wonderful figures, I just wish Kosta would make an Eryx launcher. French camo both vehicle and uniform is both attractive and easy to paint.

One curious thing and it may be a camera angle thing but those Schuco diecast VBLs don't look that much bigger than my Gasoline 1/48 version and the Schuco ones are nominally 1/43 aren't they? On the other hand the VAB looks like it is bigger than my Solido/Gasoline versions. Maybe it's the basing.

Again, nice work Burkhard.

THX guys!

@Carlos: AFAIK Schuco did not master all of the range, but bought a good deal of it from other companies. So the scale is actually "variable". The VBL is just the right size for 28mm's while the VAB is a little larger, but not much so. But you definately need to stay away from their WWII 251 and Puma... Those even seem larger then 1:43.

An Eryx from Eureka would be nice, just like a dismounted Milan or a tri-pod mounted MG-3 for the Germans!

Cheers,

Burkhard
