GW's policies are giving me a headache. The worst part is that I wanted to order the metal elves last week but delayed it. Now they are gone from the online store.

Glad I previously bought the metal ones I wanted.  Those Crapcast versions are  not worth the cash.
This is my boomstick!

GW is not worth the price point here. For the same price of buying a GW army with a bunch of finecast hero fellas you could hire a high class hooker for so long you would be in danger of getting to know her.

If I get you a couple of blister packs can I have a quickie  ;)
Well I've lead an evil life, so they say, but I'll outrun the Devil on judgement day.

So, Is this in fact a new edition or are they just tarting up (or down) the existing one with yet another round of army books and denuded figure sets?  ::)

Same set of rules but each faction/army getting a new book with points, equipment, and stats being revised. Might not be huge changes but these are the new standard. Its not that the £100 or so on previous material is now useless, its more the £60+ I'd need to spend to update all my models.

Might just give buying these from GW a miss and hold out for kids selling them on eBay in a few months. Fat chance of that but its a possibility...

To be honest its a shame the game is not more popular. I guess GW was always gonna push for WotRing over the strategy set on a purly sales basis. To few people i know that play and as i have enough models to play most scenarios I'll be giving any new purchases a wide berth.

Now if a hobbit set comes out this Christmas, this may all change ;)
