my take on the Thrilling Tales Nachtjaeger
« on: December 23, 2007, 06:47:34 PM »
Hi again,

Artizans Pulp style Thrilling Tales Nachtjaeger.
I wanted a more “realistic” look for them. So I decided to use historic German Fallschirmjaeger colours.
The smock is painted in splinter camo, the armour in Luftwaffe Grau.

cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - https://www.adpublishing.de

Now they are nice!

And a timely inspiration. I was just pondering how to do mine the other day. I love the camo parts.

Like them a lot, I have painted mine with olive smocks and Luftwaffe bluegrey trousers, I have painted the bags/water bottles a mixture of black in keeping with the armour and the usual colours. The officer I have done in my take on the supposed final camo that was in progress "leibermuster" although it is thought that it was to be universal I thought that the luftwaffe may have their own pattern.

Agis, they look great - quite grungy. These really are lovely figures.
I still think Zoogla's nachtjaeger are just about the best painted 28mm figures I've ever seen, but yours are pretty nice too

Funny thing, Zoogla's Jaeger were THE reason to paint these more dull and realistic.
I like the execution but I really disliked the colours...

Talk about personal taste...

Absolutely great! Mine are still in their 'aging' box. Like a fine wine I have to leave my lead until it is properly aged. That's the excuse I've used for the last 30 years and I can't change now........

I like them a lot. I'm going to buy me some at some future point for some pulp/weird war stuff - and I'll probably stick to WWI grey with black or dark  blueish grey for armour (I'm not a great painter, you see...)... But we'll see about that later...
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

I like them too. When I get mine, I'll probably go for a Fallschirmjaeger colour scheme too.
