Sculpting Practice 28MM heads
« on: January 21, 2014, 02:40:56 AM »
Here is my first post on the coolest forum on the internet.  Been lurking around here for years now, watching Igor work his magic, made me want to become a sculptor.  Here's a little bit of my latest progress on some characters I want to make.  Please give me some feedback and forgive me for these monstrous photos.

Love these guys, especially the one with the goofy-looking tooth! They're very expressive and slightly cartoony, which I'm sure is the look you're going for, and I think works very well indeed. I'd like to see them as hillbillies in overalls with garden implements. Or as comical monks.

Nice - the one with the teeth is a picture-perfect village idiot in the making!

These are very good.  You are doing the very best thing by practicing this way.  Far too many people try to do complete figures in one go and lose heart by their results.  I look forward to seeing you progress and how these change if and when you add hair and hats etc.
