Von Stauffenberg's Konigsberg Gun
« on: January 31, 2012, 06:08:12 PM »

This artillery piece fell into our possession by a very circuitous route.
In “Return to the Heart of Darkness” this gun was ‘liberated’ by Red Canman from a village in northern Zimbabwe where it had languished as a monument. He contacted German Tanganyika and arranged the refurbishment of the gun in return he would not attack German Tanganyika. In the ensuing months Red Canman was tracked down by the British and their allies resulting in them loosing the gun. The gun was recovered by our German engineers and brought back into the service of German Tanganyika, where it remains to this day.

Looks like quite a nice model.

We need a closeup, however, to be sure.  ;)

Thanks.

Made by my own fair hands at the instigation of Ignatieff for "Return to the Heart of Darkness".

Too much!

Did you recognise the ammo boxes - they stowed away amongst the oil rigs from last time - I'll bring down in March.

Von Stauffenberg
As one of the fellows that follows this madness in depth, I am totally psyched to see this gun.  Now......I have to admit that I am also a major partisan of Red Canman and will probably inform him of its current location  lol lol

LB,

If you can find him tell him we have the gun he discarded, however you'll have your work cut out for you because after the debacle he disappeared into the jungle and hasn't been heard from since.
