Church for the SYW
« on: February 03, 2012, 06:11:24 PM »
I painted over the last year a couple of SYW-miniatures, but I am any lacking SYW-theamed buildings or scenery.

So I started to build a village curch typical to the brandenburg area around berlin.
Even though I got pretty good examples around here in town, I got it all wrong and builded the tower toooo big.

Here are some WIP-pics...

The whole church is pretty big and I am not sure how it will fit on the table...

Here are some pics with the first layers of paint. Still some weathering to do. The roof has just 1 layer of paint

And a pic with just 1 storey. Looks better from the proportion.

DV... :)

I like the 2-storey-version. And the whole concept too. Well done.

That's an outstanding piece of work. I really like it! The two-storey version is great, as is the single-storey. You've done well there!

The painting really makes the building stand out.
Very well done.

Thank you for your nice comments.

@miniature-size
Yes, it is a 28mm Front-Rank prussian musketeer.

The church is 43cm high and 27cm long.
And I am glad some of you like the 2 storey version... :)
