Urban Mammoth announce May 2012 Urban War releases
« on: February 06, 2012, 04:09:17 PM »
Urban Mammoth is pleased to announce details of their May 2012 releases for the Urban War Second Edition sci-fi skirmish game. March will bring new units for the Viridian, Syntha and VASA factions of Urban War and expand the battlefield with a new armoured battlesuit and a sinister new Syntha Biomech.

Viridian Urban Interdict Sergeant Price: TBA Code 13147
The Urban Interdict corps are specialists trained for fast combat insertion behind enemy lines. Equipped with a sophisticated gravchute and rugged, shock absorbing drop harness these soldiers often arrive to the battlefield from the air, jumping from low flying craft to open another front of fire against the enemy or strike weak points to their rear. This versatility makes them ideal for deep strikes, search and rescue, and interdiction and disruption missions.

Syntha Medusa Class Biomech Price: TBA Code 13333
Strangest by far of the new class of cyber-augmented biomechs is the Medusa. Alien in form, the Medusa is more machine than flesh, its human torso mounted atop an articulated tail like that of a snake. On the battlefield the Medusa is smoothly and eerily quiet as it swoops and leaps around on the battlefield. Suspended in a bubble of null-g provided by its gravpack, its bladed tail provides both balance and enhanced close combat capability.

VASA KV72 Wolverine Price: TBA Code: 13727
KV72s are large heavily armoured battlesuits. The two most commonly seen variants are the MKII Wolverine close assault model, and the MKIV Starfire infantry support model. Though configured for different battlefield roles, both these models are equipped with powerful cesti, making them valuable armoured assault assets.

Piloted by experienced ex-suppressors, the lumbering KV72s provide solid backup for the swifter and more lightly equipped elements in a VASA force.

Urban Mammoth is the producer of games and miniatures such as Warheads and the Urban War Second Edition sci-fi skirmish game.

Well the artwork is years old and models derived from it have around just as long, unless they've remodelled them which might be nice in the case of the Medusa lass (wasn't the best sculpt from what I recall).

Looks like a few re-releases.

This was available years ago, I remember doing the paint job.

Why show concept art?

Concept art is what I have. :-) I am not certain that is the version being released. I'll double check
