Heresy's "Boris" & Hasslefree's "Wolf" both fit in very well with these figures, so thats a very good excuse to order from all them as well as em4.

Howard's rules sound interesting, especially now I've found they are on a slightly larger scale than Broadsword Adventures. Now I can happily buy both sets when they appear without having to justify my actions

The lack of Mayans/Aztecs/Incas is one of the few drawbacks with that world.

Read "Red Nails" then. Conan and Valeria get embroiled in a civil war in a fortress city inhabited by just what you are looking for.

And yes, itīs a genuine, "canon", if you like, Howard story, published in Weird Tales magazine fro July to October 1936.

Googling for "Red Nails", the first entry to come up is this: http://www.conanrednails.com

They're making an animated movie of the story, apparently. Did people know about this?

As did I, in fact I think I have her somewhere in a bits box, but I don't remember her being barebreasted. I thought she was at least somewhat clothed. :?  :?:

There were two variants on the same figure, one clothed (more common) and one bare breasted.  I much prefer some of the Hasslefree harem girls to decorate my bases.

I didn't so thanks for the info. :)

I think Amazon did Conan minis, but I think there quite small by today's standards.

This topic had a lot of ideas for Hyborian gaming, too

I've been adding to my list of miniatures for representing Hyborian peoples. I think I've got most nations and peoples covered now, but it feels a bit futile posting it all here, as it's quite a long and rambling collection of notes. But once I actually start painting them, I'll be sure to post pictures, so you guys can see some of the choices I went with.

But I'd like to point out Iron Wind Metals / Ral Partha Europe as one particularly useful source for pulp fantasy miniatures, especially nubile women in scant clothing:

(I think the small one is meant to be a dwarf, not a little girl)

There's even a "Slave Auction", but there's no picture

And please donīt ask me how I know that off-hand. I already hate myself enough for it.

Don't sweat it, I recognized her as well :)

Unless you've augmented her to be sans bikini top that is one of the very rare unreleased ,'boobs out' slave, (and worth a shed load of cash too!)

Quote from: "Rhoderic"
She's not meant to be Eldar, she's a human slave. IIRC, in the GW "studio" paintjob of the model, she bears a fleur-de-lys tattoo, suggesting she's a captured Sister of Battle.

The other slave from the set had a more SOB styled haircut and is holding a spike/shard behind her back ready to strike and free herself from her chains.

Amazing what you remember.

The bare-breasted version of Asdrubael Vect's Slave (and Prisoner) are unreleased variant sculpts made by Chris Fitzpatrick for in-house consumption within GW:

There are also unreleased bare-breasted versions of 3 of his Dark Elf Witch Elves...

Here are some perfect miniatures for heroes of the western civilized nations: http://www.apocalypseminiatures.com/store/pi2066787730.htm?categoryId=6

I'd imagine them as Argosseans, Corinthians or Kothians.

Those are very nice models indeed - apart from the ridiculously oversized swords  :(

Still, if they are used for Hyborean figures, that can be excused as large weapons & overly-voluptuous women are OK in Sword & Sorcery!

I like oversized weapons, at least for such an overtly heroic setting as pulp fantasy.

BTW, it would appear this company might be on hiatus right now. I've e-mailed them to make sure.
