Nothing new but I did a group shot of the 5 full models. Temporarily mounted on slottas for the sake of the photo (helps hide the pins sticking out the feet).

I am eagerly waiting for my new Panther G from Die Waffenkammer, wich I have been thinking about using along with these guys on the display. However... I also have a Tiger IE and a Köningstiger. All three are impressive panzers and equally cool, and can one way or another be used sort of historically. However, since the display will have a Normandy theme, I suppose it will be the Panther. The peadot is a bit anacronistic for the russian front, for what I have in mind, since these will be 2SS Das Reich (Tigers in Russia prior to refitting in France and bla bla bla)
I could also go down the Road Of I Dont Give A Rats Ass and do as I please and just give them what ever panzer I want and feel like.
No matter what, I actually got a bit of a sweat thinking about this, sort of like "Oh I really must make a ace looking panzer or for ever be condemed to the Hall Of Shame", the miniatures are so good looking that the panzer cant look like crap. I lost my confidence here a bit... argh...

Really really nice.  I love how the first two look rather cartoony, a slighty exaggerated look to the faces.  Not sure if that's the sculpt or your painting style but I really like it.

A few more WIP shots of some extra models to go with the first lot. Not great photo quality but you can see how things are progressing. I blurred out the collar patch just in case.

Woah, looking fantastic allready. I envy your skills and your sense of aesthetics, far superior to my own. However, I will give my best for the vehicles that these will belong to.

Wonderful as always....you are certainly pushing me into buying some Artizan WWII.  Which line are these?  SS?

Cheers,

These particular miniatures are from the Artizan Panzer Lehr sets. They used variants of the special motor uniform; black, reed-green (summer) and camo variants. I opted to use them as panzer crew members, since there are not a single good looking german panzer crew miniature on the market, at least not one I would want to add to my forces.

You can use them as Heer units, I do belive they have the correct insignia (eagle on the right side of the chest and correct litzen etc for collar boards) wich easily can be altered to suit SS units. I just remove stuff if needed and then add small dots of green stuff for deathskulls and so on.

The bad lighting makes his face look almost the same colour as my desktop...
