Very nice painting, but you've got to stop surfacing your desktop with the skin of your enemies.
Back from the dead, almost.

Reminds me of something I read in an awful book about the Gestapo. When I say awful I mean it was a book that should have filed under fiction. Turned out it was written during the war so that explained a lot.

Anyway...

Hang on a second while I pick my jaw up off the floor .....

Stunning!  How long do you figure it takes you for each of these figures?

Excellent!  I love the faces on these guys...very expressive.

SCL...I like your flesh color quite a bit and have been try to approximate it on my figures...but I just can't get it right...you seem to be going quite a bit paler than I've tried so far.  For your final highlight are you still mixing Bleached bone with Tallarn Flesh...or is it pretty much straight bleached bone?

Cheers mate!  keep up the good work

I tend to go up to neat bleached bone for the final layer and sometimes add a little white as well.

Think I'm on the right track with the pea dot camo now. I was happy enough with previous attempts but it's a tricky pattern to nail.

Excellent you've painted that figure so well you've made him levitate!
These are joy to look at.

My jaw just dropped in awe. It doesnt look very cool sitting here in front of the computer screen and looking at something and dropping the jaw, and its not nekkid chicks.

As I said, that miniature is a super hit from Warlords, really, one of their greatest so far. The new early war german panzer crew is pretty as well, and I am sure that with some creativity they will be equally cool for later settings, especially if you paint them.

The reason he is levitating, is that he is supposed to look like M. Wittman, from a famous photo where he is sitting on the barel of his Tiger.

Just looked up the Wittman miniature on Warlords site and stone cold has really brought the miniature to life the camo is awesome and the character in the face is amazing. I'm taking my brushes and paint back to the shop they must be broke.

Ta for the comments  :D

It's a nice model that Warlord one. The sculpted medals and insignia are tricky to paint though as they soon become indistinct once a bit of paint is on them. If only insignia were available as very fine brass etched pieces to customise models... there's an idea.   ;)

The tank commander looks awesome, the camo is just fantastic.
