Converting Sohei archers into yari or naginata-wielders?

Are there any standard yari or naginata moves that resemble the poses of these figures?



I have a few too many of these archers, and would like to try converting some of them into yari or naginata-wielders.

Obviously, the bows and quivers would have to go, and the hands might need moving about their wrists, but is there anything close pose-wise?

I was going to suggest the same pose. Unfortunately you are limited with the existing pose.

I suppose one option would be to have the naginata held upright in the right hand with the left pointing forwards 

There are a fair few videos of traditional style Japanese combat (all with wooden weapons etc but it gives you a very good idea).

Cheers, James! I suppose that their left hands are too far back for them to be readily converted to use teppo?

Unfortunately yes, it would require an undue amount of conversion work (namely, removing the entire arm and starting it from scratch).

YOu might be able to put a katana in one hand and a wakizashi in the other but wouldnt like to do that with too many of them!
