28mm Boxer Japanese are ready for sale! *Details page three*
« on: February 11, 2012, 07:33:17 PM »
These are going to the casters on Monday and they'll be ready for shipping the following week  :D They will also be suitable for the early Russo/Japanese war.

Not the best photos but I'll be getting some painted and taken properly in the next week or two  :)

First off we have four march attack infantry. Heads and packs are separate.

Then the command figures. Again, heads and packs are separate. The command pack will have a simple banner and brass rod supplied

Naval crew. Three normal crew with one open hand and a petty officer. Generic tools will also be supplied.

Heads and packs. The packs are moulded to fit the back of the infantry but can be left off with no detriment.

There are many more figures in the pipeline for the Japanese and the idea is to get all the nations up and running  :)

£6 a pack

PM me here until the website for them is up and running.

Ooh, those naval crew bodies could have a million and one uses.
Back from the dead, almost.

Nice! Did you sculpt them?

Also, I infer that you bought the Foundry book in the end...  ;)

Hoorah :) :) Too true they are not the best photos you lazy git but still very easy to see they are fantastic  :-* :-*

Boxer Rebellion, Russo-Japanese War and you forgot to pimp VSF aeronef crews - slip a similar thread on that board too to maximise exposure and annoy the moderator ;)

Very nice, put some nice stripes on those sailors tops and I think we have the Neo-Venizian naval crew, new heads needed of course  :P

I assume you'll have some positioned to be firing ship mounted guns?
So many projects..... so little time.......

These look very nice  :-*

Who sculpted them?

Would it be possible to get a comparison shot with some other ranges so we can see how they match up size wise?

And  - sorry for all the questions - what do you ahve planned next?

Thanks

Very nice.
The Russo-Japanese War is a fantastic Historical genre to game.

Thanks for the replies chaps. Been looking forward to getting these out there myself  :)

Questions in order...

Figures were sculpted by Soapy and I did buy the book but the reference for these came from a Japanese source.

A different posed navel crew set will be in the offing (more action poses).

A comparison shot with what limited colonial figures I have will be posted this afternoon.

In the pipeline next are more infantry in different poses (suitable for skirmish and land battle), artillery (and crew), cavalry and also the big bastard howitzer that was used in the Port Arthur seige in the Russo/Japanese war.
When I'm happy with the Japanese I'll move on to the next power, suggestions would be appreciated as to who this could be  ;)

cheers

James

Thanks for the info - one last question if I may.

I like the back packs but looking at the pictures I can't tell if the belts  that would support the back packs are moulded on the figures or need to be added.

Thanks
