Not keen on the drover. He looks a little too "eastern" for Spain or Italy. I reckon I need it all the same.

Not familiar with these - what size are they, please?

Gracias,

Tempting, I could use 2 of those mules for my Panama mule train raids by my motley pirates, you can never have enough pack mules to plunder.

I agree a bit with Aaron on the driver, but I really like this... And I also like the water cart I just saw on the train entry.

That´s really cool, especially for some skirmish-scenario-gaming. The mule handler indeed looks like from the eastern part of Europe, but if you file down the fur on the coat and do a little head swap you´ll have a french/spanish mate.

Fine for an 1812 Russian game though; it would make a good moving objective for French foraging parties? I have all Front Rank but size wouldn't be so much of an issue for this.

Two of the mules - the one with the barrels and the one with the pig - are the same as in their Pike & Shot mule train.  Mine were a real pain to clean up and paint (so many angles1), but they look quite good when finished.

Tasty  :P I think I'll base them individually so I can use the Perry Carlist War muleteers... Or other figures.

Do you have a pic? I´d love to see it painted.

I wonder if peaked caps were a common peasant item in spain/portugal. I think that they not only reused the mules, but a head from the rather nice flag/drummer combo they made for their landwehr.

westfaliaminiatures.com - proper stuff in 28mm
