New Foundry Early Napoleonic
« on: February 18, 2012, 08:39:25 AM »
Just found this in my emails. They look quite decent, I actually like the face.

PS: Just wanted to share the news, let's try to keep the foundry bashing down.

Thank you for the picture, Professor! I guess I was still too sleepy to think about that! :)

They are one of the better new sculpts. I like Foundry, but a lot of their newer stuff isn´t really good. That´s no bashing but the truth (for me).

I think that Eureka produce far better figures for this early Napoleonic period... :?
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

They're not exactly brilliant either. I'm not a Foundry basher. I like many of their older ranges but most of the stuff they have brought out these past several years has left me cold. Had these come out in say 1989 I would have said they were brilliant and probably bought a pack.

Sorry, but I wouldn't touch them.

May be that's why they are called "early Fusiliers" ;)

A bit of a mixed bag, eh? I like the drummer and sapeur, but the proportions on the officer and eagle bearer at lower left look really off.

Meh? Not too bad but have to agree about the eagle bearer. His right arm is a bit gimpy.
