Does anybody have a suggestion for ranges to scale with Victrix (interested in EIR in particular)?

Also, in the original post it looks as though Warlord scale well with the Perry Foundry range and not much else - can anybody confirm please?

I've seen Aventine and sculpts by Steve Saleh used as command figures in units of Victrix models (no photos, sorry). I'd say, though, that's as far as mixing goes since plastic minis have a certain, somewhat delicate style, which is – at least to my eye – noticeably different from any metal range out there.

As it stands, yes. Warlord's EIR were scaled to specifically match Foundry's (Perry) range for that period. Gripping Beast's (Colin Patten) Romans were a decent alternative but they seem to have vanished. ???

That's very useful, thanks. I'm torn between liking the Victrix which have a slightly limited range and the Warlord which run a bit small but have plenty of options. I've been looking this morning and there doesn't actually seem to be much difference cost wise other than Warlord's cavalry boxes being quite a bit pricier.

Or, for that matter, any way the mods can consolidate some of the other comparison threads into this one? It's a super-helpful idea, especially for those of us newer to the hobby!

A comparison of the new Aventine early Byzantine and the late Romans shown would be really useful! I'm looking to do an army based around the late 400-mid 500 So wanting to mix them together
Thanks!

Actually I'm  doing a  unit of  kneeling Triarri. the core will be  the Agema figures so I'm looking for some more that will add variety but with a compatible scale.   I see Gripping Beast metal and  Magister Millitum do kneeling Triarri so wondering if anyone has done direct comparisons of their sizes ??

I've heard there's a difference between the ranges, but the ones I have are significantly smaller than say Victrix.

A bit late in the day but here are some Republican Roman comparisons:

The rest are on my blog here: click

I use Magister ( Navigator as was) kneeling Triari with my mainly Foundry army and they fit in very nicely. I love the sense of movement in 1st Corps figures. Most of the older metal ranges look short next to Victrix but I find that less jarring than the stylistic difference.
