Beats me why anybody would want to game a war in goofy ol' Texas when there was so much more fun to be had in Cool and Sunny Florida at the same time, fighting the 'Noles... ;) ::)

And if memory serves me right, them Hurricane boys  came to the Cotton Bowl in '91 and fixed us  Reeeeeeeal good!  Showed us a thing or two about not messin' with FLA"

Fixed it for you, Malmute.     :D :D :D

I took pictures of the actual terrain around some Seminole War battlefields nearby  (er, Skirmish Fields).  Neat stuff.  Forgot to post them.

And there's a large diorama, of a battle and camp from the Second Seminole War, at our local County Historical Museum.  It uses 25mm war gaming figures that look like they have the correct hats and unis/kit.  (looks like older figures, like Scruby or old minifigs or something?).  I'll stop by and check out the details.

 ;)

In 15mm there is a rather full range of old school figures from TSS (QRF - FreiKorps):

The US army changed to the uniform worn during the Mexican-American War in time for the last few years of the 2nd Seminole War.

For the First Seminole war use conquest/Old glory seminoles and War of 1812 Brigade Games us infantry/artillery.
For the Second Seminole war use the same seminole manufacturers and Boot Hill miniatures.
Us deserters are in the proper uniform and New Orleans Greys will do for miitia units involved.
Also any civilian from BH will be ok again for non uniformed militia units and volunteers.

You can paint the BH miniatures the same way for the Texan War of Independence, comanche squirmishes, Second Seminole War. ;)
