Just thought that I would let you all know that when I received my Dark Young from Avolakia a couple of weeks ago it had an interesting sticker on the package.

It read: OPENED BY UK CUSTOMS.

I would love to know what they made of it.
The conversation in the Customs office would have been worth overhearing, I bet!

I had a bash at avolakia's lovely formless spawn of Tsathoggua yesterday. Lovecraft himself describes the things as "amorphous lumps of viscous black slime". Now, black is very difficult to do, because black isn't really a colour - black is black, there is only one tone, and gray isn't really "light black". I certainly haven't mastered the skill of creating depth in black yet, so like achab, I chose to interpret black as a dark, desaturate purple. I also added a little gloss to give it a slimy look.

Fun mini to paint!
