Nice battle report. I think the problem you are ging to hit is that basically gamers are lazy. Having a rule set to cover every period, if it works, seems to be ideal but when it comes down to it very few gamers will bother. Why? Because they want every force list set out for them.
This happens to all rules that spread a large period of time, people moan because the 'lists' aren't there, even if it is possible to work them out.
I talk from experience here, Flying Lead covers the whole shooty period and there is an online character builder but still people will not use it for such and such because the 'list' isn't there.

Anyway good luck with them, if you do a PDF I reckon a lot more people would pick them up.

Thanks for your feedback Rich. I agree that many people are 'list bound' and that is something that you just can't fix with any rule set.

Knowing that, I planned from the start to release supplements that will provide 'lists' or have pre-packaged troops for those that need that, but allow for those of us that like to create model's profiles from scratch free reign to design our forces as we see fit.

Once the book releases, I'll begin assembling the PDF.  I have to make sure its searchable, etc. and once that's done, I'll release it too.

Best regards,
Bob

I think the appeal of this set of rules is that if you are interested in a certain period or line of miniatures but don't want to collect an entire army you can still buy a few miniatures and play with them. For instance I really like Napoleonics but would never have the willpower to collect an entire army - with these rules though - I could buy a few cool miniatures of my liking and still be able to throw games with them  :)

Just to let you know, we have added the Reference Playsheet for Brink of Battle at our website www.brinkofbattle.com in the Resources section.

You can see a number of important items on there, such as turn sequence, full list of Standard & Combat Action, as well as the cribsheet for Firearms of all 3 periods.
