With all the paraphernalia removed, it's a rather impressive figure, though 32mm is a bit on the tall side.

If only he had the option of a normal left arm...

Sorry, having trouble even with villains decked out like that, even Steampunk ones.

Save, on a dais... In their lair...

I don't mind the fig. I just don't think that I could do it justice paint wise!

I think what I appreciate most is the near-likeness of Jeremy Brett. A bit cadaverous perhaps, but then their site does actually say it's an "evil" Holmes.

I've nothing against wild variants of Holmes, but this mini is 9 heads high and has no pelvis.  Too much attention to filigree and not enough to the basics.
Back from the dead, almost.

I would have said rather good copy of Paget's drawings.

... but this mini is 9 heads high...

Lifts. His foot is almost straight up in the boots. It's why he looks like he's about to fall forward. No, really.

From Hauptgefreiter
[The Kingpin of the London underworld, with a terrifying intellect matched only by his calculated evil, there is no crime in the city that Sherlock Holmes is not a part of in some way. His empire of crime spans the big smoke like a tangled web, and branches out across the globe, linked to terror on all four corners of the earth.]

Why didn't they just call the figure Moriarty?

Nice figure though. I'd buy it but £13 (for me around $20) plus postage is way to much for one figure.

Edit: On the other had having had a closer look at the resin cast... Not great casting. Quite a few areas that don't qualify for the cost.

Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

I received mine in the post yesterday. I know this model divides opinions somewhat, but I was very taken with it, hence the pre-order. I don't normally go for steampunk figs, as I'm a historical/gothic horror gamer really, but I thought he'd make a great villain.

Anyhow, what I can say is that the casting is lovely. Very fine details, absolutely flawless surfaces. The mechanical arms are incredibly intricate, and I do fear clipping them off the resin sprue. It reminds me of the quality of the Smog 1888 figs, just shrunk down to 32mm! I doubt they'll cast half as well in metal, if at all, so I'm expecting a resin-only release for this one.

He is a bit taller - and considerably thinner - than my 28mm figs, but that's ok, as I don't plan to use him as strictly human anyway :-)

£13 for the limited (260) resin run of the figure. I expect it'll go into metal later. It doesn't have a place in my VSF forces but I like Steampunk stuff too.
for all that money they could at least throw in the pence.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

I'm with Orctrader - its not my cup of tea to be frank.

Holmes was one for gadgets really, this guy is like a Victorian James Bond/Doctor Octopus Cross.

Fantastic sculpting and a really beutiful miniature, I can easily see this getting painted by a lot if the serious artists out there, not to mention finding their ways in to peoples wargaming figures.
