DIY paint holder help
« on: February 26, 2012, 08:15:26 AM »
I want to create a paint holder partly as a cheapo wargamer present and partly because im bored. I dont have any paints on me so i just wanted to know what are the heights and dimensions of the paint pots of GW, Vallejo and any other paints that are widely used.

Well, here are a few dimensions from the paints I have:

Reaper 1/2 oz. squeeze bottle: 2.5 cm wide x 7.5 cm tall
Citadel/GW 12 mL pot: 3.4 cm wide x 4.5 cm tall
Privateer Press P3 pot: 3.0 cm wide x 5.1 cm tall

Hope that helps you a little. i'm sure others will come along with dimensions of other brands' pots. :)

As far as I can tell, Reaper dropper bottles are exactly the same as the Vallejo dropper bottles and at least one other brand's bottle, so you should be OK running with Cadet13's dimensions for Reaper above for all dropper/squeeze bottles.

you guys have been great. ive decided to have enough space for the 72 vallejo set and the 73 gw paint set aswell as added space for brushes, glues, tools, miniature display and other goodies.

How tall is the largest gw model. i could only assume its the stompa but there may be others.
