10mm Sci Fi? was: Scale? Sophonts in Star Wars Action Scene kits...

I see kits rated at 1:150 to 1:156, which would put them near the 10mm range, but the 'humans' look taller to me. Anyone have experience painting-and-playing these?

I have both of those sets. I would say they are 10mm. They might be just a little taller, 12mm maybe, but way too small to fit with 15s. And with the scale creep in metals & the bulk of metals They would best fit with 10s.

Sorry to dredge up again, but does anyone have piccies of Pendraken Sci Fi Marines? I can find plenty of the bugs. Basically 70's US kit with some added personal armor?

It's about the only 10mm Sci Fi I can locate.

1/144 is a very popular scale for anime/mecha modeling. Hobbylink Japan is a great source for it (and hobby supplies in general). It's a Bandai has a lot of stuff for Gundam models and dioramas and even if you don't like mecha, there's plenty of kits with scifi tanks and vehicles and stuff to make spaceship cargo bays.
