Terror descends from the Nongoma heights
« on: February 28, 2012, 02:20:14 AM »
So I had to get someone to fight my Zulu.  Who better then the Ndwandwe!  King Zwide seems like a mega D-bag anyway.  These can easily double as any other Nguni people  so will be put to good use.  Will also be able to pass for Zulu in larger battles.

So for now only one regiment done.  With the test figures for the other 3 regts.  As well as a sneak peek at the Pygmies, which will be a blast.  I have to say though that the Copplestone Ngoni might be some of the best figures to paint.  Smooth lines and make painting them to easy.

My forces are going to make up a pseudo southern Africa so will be patching stories together from 1800-1920's, from anything I read or become inspired from fellow LAFers.

Very nice! I particularly like the shields in the first and second pics.

I have to agree. I really enjoy painting those figures too.

I like the leopard skin headband on that one fellow. I find leopardskin rather tricky to pull off, so usually plump for a cheetah or serval look, as their simpler spots are much easier to do. But you have done a perfect job.

Thanks for the comments.

The leopard headband wasn't to bad.  Just Foundry Ochre. With black spots, then Foundry Orange shade in the black spots.

Hopefully have another regiment done this weekend, will post pics and they progress.
