Just like everyone else said, Real near impossible to choose, but I had to go with the Rankin and Bass (Hobbit cartoon) looks of the one dwarf. :o :-*

To both guys, GREAT work.
To the Admins, Thanx for bringing back some warm memories with the old metal round.
Quality has a quantity of its own

There ain't no school like the old school - old school for the win.

Both very nice entries. :)

Thanks everyone for the comments.

These fellows were a delight to paint- very well sculted and cast considering their age and the technology available then. I bought these from teh Miniature Heroes website, who sells pre-owned figures. They were a bargin, and took me right back to my youth. Like many of you I owned a set of these back in the mid 80's.
I was a bit put out to be drawn against such a good entry, given that this is one of my strongest rounds this year. I had hoped for a better score.
Oh well- nine more rounds to go. I am off to paint some hobits for round five.

Hard one, but in the end I went for Constipated Teddy  lol
Glad someone caught the pun on ol' Konstipah Ted. =)

the wizard of the second group has more of a con artist/Goodgulf about him than serious magic, I think he might have just duped his way into a hefty cut of the spoils, and that elf is winged, and their dwarf doesn't look as confident in the fight as the first one.
Ha! That's pretty much the backstory of the group. I originally intended to enter them together with two other models in the last LPL, as a group of less fortunate than average dungeon delvers. Konstipah Ted is a bit of a swindler in the Stillburg area (where our SBH campaign takes place).

I was a bit put out to be drawn against such a good entry
Likewise mate, I opened up the entry when only three votes had been cast and I was sure I'd get crumped. Like your chaps a lot!
