My African village so far
« on: March 09, 2012, 08:45:31 PM »
All buildings are from Grand Manner; plants are plastic aquarium ones.
I still need to add a stockade/fence around the village and also the chicken coop and the grain store building Grand Manner makes. Am also considering another animal pen. Any ideas about what else it requires? Civilians obviously but I have 30 or so of those in line to be painted so as to populate it. Oh and do please come forth with any ideas about what to use for the stockade/fence. With the recent news about that Perry Medieval house I thought I might use the wattle fence (they mentioned they will be selling it separately as well) for that purpose.

I like what you have done so far.
Maybe think of adding some campfires or firepits.
Don't forget animals to put in the pens.

Will do mate; I also have a lovely little vignette from Foundry that will go right in the middle of the village! Sir Giles in the cookpot :D

Take a look at the link: http://www.monolithdesigns.co.uk/africa.htm  theres some nice stuff there you could add, such as the Idols and the Chiefs throne, I have quite a few of these items and they are very nice.

Lovely work, Theo, both from a modelling perspective and as a piece of practical wargaming terrain.

Besides the throne and the accesories, it may also lack a few hobbits here and there as well  lol
