1934 The Vanishing Shadow, chapter 1, part 2 (hope you are finding a way to look at these on YouTube, Grimm, as this 1934 serial has a lot of the wierd Pulp science that you are looking for, invisibility machine, destructor ray, etc.):

Have been watching that 1934 Pulp serial The Vanishing Shadow on YouTube, 4 chapters so far. Seems like the whole series is probably on YouTube in a long series of chapters, usually in 2 parts per chapter. It has a series of wierd science bits, including the "vanishing ray" that gives the series its name, a "destructor ray" that kills living things, a "cutting ray" that can cut into a safe, a "chemical ray" that takes oxygen out of the air in a confined space, and eventually a robot. Lots of cool stuff there. Worth watching.
