Help Finding Insect-Theme Arch-Villainess
« on: January 13, 2008, 11:45:34 PM »
Hello all,

As I am building my Superfigs forces I find myself needing an arch-villainess with an insect theme but cannot seem to find any figures in 28mm that seem to inspire me.  Perhaps you have seen something that would work.

What am I looking for?  I am looking for a female character of basic human appearance who either is dressed or themed in an insect style or who could be painted or converted slightly to more resemble this.  She is to be an arch-villainess and so should convey that sort of sense of majesty one would expect from the queen of the NEST.

Thanks,
-Eli

All I can think of is taking a suitable human girl and doing a head swap with possibly one of the Mongoose arachind heads such as Firefries or a mantis, there should be some floating around the group as they come as spares.

Men wise only Eureka/Fighting 15s have human males with bug heads etc

or possibly Paroom may have some?

What about Heroclix figures? Would they be suitable?

DC has the Queen Bee character and I think they make one for her for Heroclix.  Kinda a cool character and she has a pretty big hive army.

Queen Bee is more along the lines of what I'm thinking.  I want a human-lookign female with bug-temed costuming.  Though, the HeroClix figs are too small for my tastes.  I try to stay in the 28mm range so I can use figs from my other ranges.

Anyone have a good pic of Queen Bee either the mini or the character?

Thanks and keep 'em coming.

Those armbands on the Bee Queen remind me of the Monarch from the Venture Brothers.  I'm not suprised, he probally got them off ebay.
