Staple crates
« on: March 15, 2012, 08:34:38 AM »
Hi everyone,

Searching how to make a lot of wood crates for scenery, I thought that staples would work. Here you can see a pair of them just for test (the girl is a Caesar 20mm miniature).

Those look very near-future SF. Brilliant idea.
from Mr.Vampire: "It's the paintjob that makes the miniature fight harder not the size."

And stolen twice. They do look like wicker, don't they?

Equally they look sci fi corrugated material to me. Are they just overlapped and stuck together?

Thanks guys. I'm glad that someone could find some inspiration on that. ;)

I agree that it will work better for sci-fi games, But I think I will use it for fantasy and historical games too. ::)

And stolen twice. They do look like wicker, don't they?

Originally, the plan was to make some wood crates. But now that you say,,, it remembers me that dog crate where my neighbour's dog lives. Something like this:

Maybe I will test with other colors, khaki or grey, like old wood.

Yes, overlapped and stuck together. Here is a photo with all material used.

Cheers.

I bet you keep your head down when they are looking for staples in your house.........a very interesting idea, i think it is the gamers eye that is within us that makes everthing we see transform into terrain and scenery
