Worst ones yet, in my opinion. Though at least the facial expressions aren't as muppet-like as the British set.

I am most definitely getting a box, if for nothing else, for the conversion possibilities it yields along with their great weapon sprues. I got the german box for that very reason, and it has served me very well so far. I hear that the US players in our gang seems to like them, but no final verdict until they are here in the flesh I suppose.

I'm happy I'm playing airborne, because I don't like'em at all. Especially the spotter for the .50 cal of which they put up some pictures. That helmet just looks... dreadful. In my opinion the bolt action range isn't what it used to be anymore.
Daaaaaaaaaaaaah !

I'll be getting a box.  Looks like time to start a weird war 2 project and these will be a good starting point.

Not sure it ever was that great.Although I don't know exactly when Warlord took over from BA in the sculpting/casting
timeline.
I've been painting Warlord ,Crusader, and Artizan Fallshcrimjager(SP) and just got done cleaning Warlord and Artizan Brit Paras a few minutes ago.
I'll stick with Artizan and Crusader me self. ;)

In the preview it says "They wouldn’t look out of place in the Pacific and would even be good for US troops in the Korean War." The Pacific I could see, but Korea...? Would they really work?
For some reason I've been expecting later war American soldiers (like the original Bolt Action GIs), which would have been bang on for Korea.

The more I look at these, the more I like them. As I wrote before, I have the german set, and even though I am not overly thrilled by the poses and such, they still serve their purpose, and yeild a rich source for conversions. I am sure that the US box will be at least equally good, and I must say that they seem to have been improving the variety and the poses of the otherwise rather static figures.

I don't mind them. I prefer faces with character to samey ones. The British at least had bareheads and choice of headgear. I'd consider these Americans if I needed them. The economics are in their favour when one considers that they can be easily bought off the shelf.

I wouldn't buy them for use as actual WW2 Americans, but as a source of conversion material for all those post-war US equipped forces they look very promising!

Did anyone get these and have some examples to share?

I'm pondering getting some but like to see what other folks have done.

Thanks

Oddly enough, box art aside, the Wargames Factory ones look quite a bit better than these and represent much better value for money. Thirty to a box for starters. The only odd thing about the WF ones are the combination of gaiters with M43 jackets. I'll be buying some as a source of parts.

Note to Warlord. Contrary to your blurb, unless you supply enough Springfield rifles these won't do for Brazilians.
