Biblical Minis?

I have a growing interest in collecting some 28mm minis from the biblical time period and region.  Thus, where can I find Isrealites, Hittites, Canaanites, Philistines, Assyrians, Babylonians, Egyptians, etc?  Also, besides Warhammer Historical Chariot Wars, where would be a good place to get army lists?

Thank you all for your replies.    The reference books I found in Fanaticus are especially interesting (thank you very much Prof Witchheimer  ).  For argument sake, what are some companies that do 20mm of Biblical Armies?  I may switch scale depending on further research.

Wargames Foundry are a good place to look around for New Kingdom Egyptians, Assyrians, Babylonians, Hittites, and Caananite/Mitanni miniatures.

They occasionally have sales, and it's always worth remembering that they are post free if you pick up a book at the same time.  The army deals are better value.
