Yesterday was a nice and quite day for painting, so I finished the first "test" model. If Adam likes the style I'm going on the rest of the gang :)
Here's the result:

Seeing this thread reminded me of just how much I love Skaven.  Can't wait to see them all painted to the same cool standard.

Thanks mate, I'll do many groupshots :)
About the sword:
1) a basecoat of GW Boltgun Metal
2) a GW Badab Black wash
3) a soft drybrush with MIG Old Rust pigment starting from the hilt and decreasing
4) a Boltgun Metal drybrush starting from the sword point and decreasing.
5) a softer VGC Chaimail drybrush as an higlighting of the previous stage.

Seeing this thread reminded me of just how much I love Skaven.  Can't wait to see them all painted to the same cool standard. 

Thanks mate! I love skaven since my first miniature game was Advanced Heroquest :)
I'm pretty happy with this first test, let's see what I can do on the rest. There are some heroes in the gang that really need my best paintjob :-*
