28mm multi part Eastern European buildings -Demand?
« on: March 25, 2012, 12:03:30 AM »
I am seeking the input of all  readers to see if there is demand for a range of multi part buildings (levels and roof treatments)in 28mm scale..
The range would centre around buildings found in the central Balkans, it would include differing floor levels, for example timber or render, differing ground levels – stone or render and differing roof treatments – Pan tiles or diamond stone .
This concept would enable gamers to assemble a variety of unique and differing elavational designs to suit their own requirements.
It is thought this range would appeal to a wide variety of gamers for a range of historical periods 16thc-21C.
I am going to gather pics together of the type of buildings envisaged.
Let me know your thoughts..?
Thanks,
Geoff

I certainly wouldn't mind getting some buildings to spruce up my battlefields.

Yes, I would be interested in a range like that. Were you thinking of mdf as the basis? That should also make them quite cost effective?

Nice scenery is, in my view, always a good idea. I would rather have a skirmish (few figures) game with a nice building than a table crammed with figures but no (or worse rubbish) buildings. Why do wargamers do that?

I know what you mean. There's a fine and slightly wavy line between the game, which could probably just be counters really, and the whole experience of the tabletop wargame, which is somehow much more satisfying with some nice figures and decent terrain. Having said that we don't always use buildings in our games but we always try and make the table look good.
