Rob, love the detail on the tennis shoes (or "trainers" to my British friends)!  I have a lot of modern Africa figures (20mm) and you're inspiring me to drag some out and paint some more!

Unbelievably, that VW is a repaint from the Disney Cars range- It was about £4 on ebay. It's something like 1/50 scale.

Thaks for the kind comments. I was quite pleased with the way the trainers came out, and they break up the uniformity. When I was reserching African Militia I came across a photo of one dressed from top to toe in cammoflage, with electric blue wellies (gum boots) on. I am going to have to do one like him.
