I like the figure, is she from a zombie line or something? The greys really work nice.

She's from Harwood Hobbies. They have a line called Lovecraft Circle: http://www.harwoodhobbies.com/userimages/procart3.htm. I also have their Re-Animated Horror model...also quite nice.

Only other thing I'd say is your water effects are great, maybe a little foam at the shoreline just to give a bit more a natural transition?

Cheers

The Commander

Thanks, that would indeed look great, but I really wouldn't know how to create foam to be honest.

Ah, they was one of the several I asked to join the contest...cool..

As for the foam you could also use slate or cork also....just as basing ideas.

The very last painted mini...I already has some more in the works right now but it'll take a while until they're finished. So here's my Blasphemous Construct/ Boss Zombie.

just finished painting a shack...maybe I should add some grass as the ground looks a bit plain. Not very fond of the picture, because I just can't get the details right and eliminate the shinyness, this one was a real pain to photograph.

Very nice indeed!
 :-*

I agree that a little flock or shrubbery will break up the edges and blend it in.
Where is it from?

I thought so, that it might look a bit bare...I'll add some flock tomorrow and update the picture when it's done.
This shack is the Plantation Shanty from Architects of War...Warlord Games also sells them. Quite expensive, but really nice. I also have Jebodiah's Shack.

Edit: just added some grass and tufts and it look a lot better now. Pictures tomorrow when the PVA glue has dried.

Hit it with some Testor's dull coat, that will help reduce the shine. The flocking will help with the accenting around the edge of the building...

Very  nice work, I like the colors you used...very dark and evil looking...

I always use Dullcote, but shades of brown are my photographing nemesis...brown still shines like crazy, even if I've used gallons of Dullcote. I'll post pictures of the updated shack later today.
