All looking good  :-*  8)

cheers

James

Thanks, James!
(Especially as you have seen the scenery before.... ::))

Great painting, especially like the how you did the rotund gentleman in the jodhpurs, but the ruined undertakers is fantastic. Having just begun to make some SA specific scenery it's inspiring, though reminds me that I'll obviously have to raise my game before posting pics! Keep up the good work.

Thanks, Ballardian!
Please do post the pics when you are done.  :D

Both pieces of scenery are unbelievable...such attention to detail. Really jealous of you...I can't even build a small house without it looking extremely crappy.

Thanks, necrocannibal!
I did not build the Graveyard, though, only 'pimped' it up a bit.

Glad that you like them.
There are quite a few more that I will be using for SA.
I will post them over the next few days.
They have been posted elsewhere before, but you Chaps who frequent this board may not have seen them.

Mason,

Cheers for posting,  I'm late to the thread but your insperational post combined with Mike of Black Hat minitures move to stock SA has seen take the plunge and order the rules.  I have been looking at SA for a number of months now with the thought in mind of using my British themed VBCW minitures to create a Scarifieyers like British setting as inkydave suggests.

Watch this space. ;)

Regards

James

Thanks, James!
I have not played the game yet, but the rules, concept and campaign setting lead me to believe it will be really enjoyable.
Plus I just wanted to put a Mythos-based project together...  ::)
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
Oh, yes, I cetainly am!
 ;D

Thanks, mate!
It is nearing the time for you to be getting some of your own stuff posted, methinks.
They are none too shabby either.
 ;)

Do it!
Put a team together, you know you want to!

Have pictures of the Shrine to put up later.
This was actually built with SA in mind...

A couple of updates for the project;

Firstly, I got my hands on a couple of Deep Ones that just need a little washing and rebasing, that I will take pics of soon, and secondly, I ordered some 1920's era zombies from Tengu models on Thursday night, which turned up on Saturday morning!
An amazing delivery time, and some lovely miniatures, so I thought that I should give them a mention on here.
Great service!

Right then, Chaps.
Pictures of said Shrine mentioned in an earlier dispatch.
The first piece of scenery built with Strange Aeons in mind.

And a few pictures with a couple of minis for scale.

It was a very simple construction, using a dolls house garden ornament (with a hammer taken to it!), a resin open grave, ten plastic slotta bases and ten of the Weeping Angel figures that were given away in Dr Who Adventures magazine.

Quick and simple and, I think, effective.

I have a few more scenery pieces that would be more than acceptable for Strange Aeons that I can add to this thread.

If you Chaps do not mind, that is..........?

I would love to see more!

That tombstone/coffin scenery bit I own, a very nice one...I have another that I am going to make into a Scene of horror that is a curtin with south american symbols on it...back when I was doing Lizardmen ages ago I bought it to make scenery...never did. The coffin and tombstone set was to go with my Vampire Counts

It is a handy piece of scenery to have. Being quite large, it can make a bit of a centre piece for terrain piece.

Very nice indeed!! Very good use for that miniatures.

Did you have any problem to paint them. I washed mine very well but something very weird happened , after the gloss and matt varnishes the miniature got shiny and sticky!! And after several months it is still sticky!!

Fantastic!!

Thanks, DJ!
I hope to build some more SA specific scenery once I have enough miniatures painted.

I had no such problems with them.
As they were going to be representing statues I was not too worried about getting them to look too smooth, so I was quite heavy with the basecoat of cheap acrylic paint. This probably sealed them to some degree. After that, it was just a simple matter of drybrushing them up in several layers.
The only thing that concerns me is the flexibility of them, being such a soft, rubbery material.
As they are used as scenery, it should be ok.

Another of the current pieces that will be fine for SA is my ruined church.
Like the other pieces it was made for Mordheim, but made as generic as possible, so no obvious Mordheim symbols etc.
It is a modular piece with quite a few sections.
Here are the first couple of corner sections;

The first corner, with front and back views

The second corner section from both aspects

I may have to either remove the Mordheimesque Wanted posters or make some that are more specific to the SA era to cover them. ::)
There are two more corner sections, a long rear wall section and a few smaller pieces that I will post next time.
I hope that you like the first couple of pieces...
