Manor House Workshop?
« on: March 28, 2012, 02:48:03 PM »
Saw an add for this Italian terrain and mini company, Manor House, on Tabletop Gaming News and I like the look of their medieval terrain. Did a search to find some info on them and found a thread from 2005 on TMP with numerous people complaining about the company and their inability to process orders. Anyone had experience with them more recently? Are they reliable?  Thanks!

I have a piece from them, but I picked it up from Scale Creep Miniatures in the US, so I can't comment on their reliability. I will say that the piece is very good quality, but completely lacking instructions. All you get is the picture on the box.

I also got a piece from them, but I bought it at the Spiel fair in Essen in 2006 from their booth.
It is a turret about 40cm high.
The quality is good, but sizewise it was made for 45mm (OK 40mm, remember it wrong ;)) figures, which they offered then also.

Alas I am not able to say something about their service, I thought to give some information about their work.

45mm figs? That's huge! Won't work with 28mm don't think.  Thanks for the info...

Manorhouse minis are in the 40mm scale.
I have some ruins of them, which came in the "Fast Mindstalker" Starter Box, and these are usable with 28mm minis as well ;)

But, I can just tell about these ruins, don't have anything else from them, except of minis.

In this thread on page 1 you can see 2 of the ruins, together with 28mm figs.

Hi axabrax, I'm Lorenzo "maniachouse" Merchetto, owner by Manorhouse Workshop.
If not mistaken I replied you on tng...

My company is open from 1999... so it is possible that in so many years of business some customers can not be satisfied ... :)

please note that my work is handmade, so usually customers may complain of the time it takes to get our products. but the wait is always rewarded with gifts.

about our products:
All ours items are suitable for 28-40 mm.

these images of our last product published, is set with figures of Rackham - Confrontation (28-32 mm.)

I also got a piece from them, but I bought it at the Spiel fair in Essen in 2006 from their booth.

As you can see from the photos, our items  can not be used for miniatures higher than 40 mm,

I have a piece from them, but I picked it up from Scale Creep Miniatures in the US, so I can't comment on their reliability. I will say that the piece is very good quality, but completely lacking instructions. All you get is the picture on the box.

thanks for your comment.

Hei Lorenzo,

thanks for the compliment, but the models made it easy to be painted ;)
Was happily surprised that the ruins were made out of a black plastic, so I could paint them right out of the box :)

New releases planned miniature-wise?
Maybe for a different timeline?

Hi njetkulturny.

Our products are very realistic in size.

then towers, houses and other buildings are very large and in proportion to the miniatures.

New releases are always medievals... but them can be used also for others Historic periods.
as: steampunk period, cthulhu or modern... WWII, Resident Evil, CoD Zombies... ;)

Was talking about figures, not the buildings.
If I remember correctly there have been some SiFi artworks once

sorry, I badly interpreted the question.

SiFi for moment is suspended...  is a difficult moment for the miniatures in Italy.
right now the cost of raw materials and the global crisis... not help to continued in this field.

but I'm sure things will work out soon. ;)
