I just wanted to share my avatar picture in a larger format.  Last friday I received a box of wonderful figures from LAM and couldn't wait to paint this guy up.  He is the pic of the litter if you ask me...painting him up has thrown off my LPL mojo...but it was worth it...I just love him.  Ratnik is a master!

Note: I will probably re-base him in the future onto a planked floor...with a spilled beer...something that suggests a tavern thats getting a bit rowdy.

This has to be one of your best  An excellent job on a kick ass mini.  I had to laugh at your title too.  I used to work on a survey crew where we wore head set radios so that the transit man could direct us.  One of the fellows loved to direct the rodman over near other crew members and make "amusing" comments trying to make us laugh.  He would often direct me over to a certain female crew member and than sing his rendition of the "the drippy d#%k blues".  I can see this fellow singing them too

Wow thanks guys....I appreciate the feedback.  As you may have guess from the headstock of the lute I see this guy as kind of a self portrait in miniature....though I have all my teeth and most of my hair still.  The figure Has that sense of humor that I miss from the old days of citadel...but with the Amazing amount of detail that Ratnik can achieve.

I will say that I'm still paying for the Evening that it took to paint him and not my LPL entry...I was up till almost 3am on Friday getting round 5 in and was pretty much a waste product on Saturday....I'm way too old to stay up that late....at least when I know my kids are going to get me up before 7!

I'm really excited to paint some more of these wonderful figures in the near future.

This is really one of the miniatures that have inspired me the most of the stuff here on LAF for quite some time, its beutiful! I got to admit that I am getting a bit tired of Dunkelgelb, Erbsenmuster and Panzers, and feel the urge to get back to some fantasy or pirates!
