Trumpeter Salute 2012 - March 30, April 1 & 2 - Vancouver BC

Coming up on six weeks off now. We had a pretty good Lead Adventurer turnout last year, who's likely to make it this year?

I won't be doing a third year of pulp adventure games, but am planning on bringing 28mm Russian Civil War skirmish instead, using the Mud & Blood rules from TFL. I've just sent my email requesting a table off this evening, in fact.

So, who of the Vancouver/BC/Seattle/Washington/Pacific Northwest LAF crowd is likely to make it?

I'll be going. I've been out of the hobby loop for almost a year now but still plan on attending mainly to see my fellow LAF'ers.

Well I would like to say I am coming up for this one. But between work and another event the next weekend. And my daughter & grandaughter comming home for a 2 week visit. I don't see myself being able to fit it in. Sorry guys. I am planning some stuff for Enfilade in May though.

Anyone know if Bob Murch and Uncle Mike will be at this one, this year?

Bob Murch is a fixture, hard to imagine he won't be there.

Uncle Mike has become a fixture, but given his recent promotion to Daddy Mike I think he's got a newborn excuse to not schlep over from Calgary.

I am neck-deep in prep for my Russian Civil War game, which has been retitled with the much more pulpish and satisfying title "Even Whites Bleed Red", just because when I should be busy painting figures, finishing scenery and finalizing player aids and initiative cards, retitling the scenario is of course what I'm doing instead...  

Saturday afternoon, 1400hrs. Four player Russian Civil War mayhem, using the excellent Through the Mud and the Blood rules from TooFatLardies!

Well I'm looking forward to seeing your set-up Wirelizard. Also looking forward to seeing Bob, Uncle/Daddy Mike if he DOES make it, as well as Peabody and the local lads.

Great job WL. I really appreciate my introduction to gaming TFL style and having another chance to play -even briefly- with your super collection of gaming goodness. Your Bro. deserves some serious kudos too for his contributions!

Apparently the lesson for next year is "Sign up as soon as possible!" - I guess my game filled up within an  hour of the signup sheets being posted!

That said, by next year I might have enough RCW stuff to do a six-player three-per-side matchup. We shall see. (I will note that an order for more RCW goodies went off to Copplestone the evening I got home from Trumpeter...)

Looks like it was great. Wish I could have made it up. But had to be home entertaining my Grandaughter. Maybe next year.
