War Gamers in Noord-Holland

Always interested in new gaming mates, so if you live in Noord Holland, or thereabouts and are interested in gaming with an expat American other than Warhammer derivatives, let me know!

what parts of Holland do you guys live in? and what sort of games are we talking about here? (just post apoc or others as well?)

If at all possible it would be cool to meet up with some fellow wargamers.

I'm in Amsterdam, so Noord Holland for me.  But travel is not the biggest deal in the Netherlands...

I'm down for a variety of gaming :)

I live near Leiden; play mostly WHFB (last battle 10 months ago) and Bloodbowl (last match 5 months ago).
Enjoying playing Wargods of Aegyptus; sadly no other players in the Netherlands (as far as I know); so only played 4 tournements in Canterbury.
Preparing SAGA, ECW, BP, WAB; rules are here as are a lot of, unpainted, miniatures. Looking into fantasy skirmish games.

I spend my weeks in Schoonhoven south Holland and my weekends in Schijndel near denbosch. Actually we have a lot more people from the Netherlands here then I thought, perhaps we should do a meetup some time.

As a side note, this should probably be in open talk rather then PA.

It seems Groningen is wargamers heaven (in the Netherlands that is)! Aren't Pil and Braxandur also from the high north?

there's a lot of wargamers in Groningen, I was one of them until last week, but I moved back to Zuid Holland. Not a lot of hisotircal wargamers in Groningen though, I think Zuid Holland is the place to be for that (Society de la Grande Armee in Hoek van Holland and Murphy's Heroes in Delft)

Maybe we should try to organise something for us historical wargamers

Well, considering the success of GLAM and BLAM and the amount of Dutch people at the LAF, organising a Dutch Lead Advernturers Meet shouldn't be too difficult. If we all bring one or two games, there'll be a nice collection of different games, both historical, pulp and otherwise for people to enjoy.

I think it's a fantastic idea!  There is a Meetup Roleplaying Group here in Amsterdam, but they have no interest in anything but...

I've gotten away from GW related games, mostly from the expense involved, but I have a few games here, and BTW, I'm also down for some board/war games.  There are some surprisingly engaging light games like Wings of War, Illuminati Card Game, etc...
