New Reaper Bones plastic Werewolf
« on: April 06, 2012, 09:22:47 PM »

A very quick paintjob, still needs varnished and the base titivated, but I think you can see all the detail on this one. Nice to paint and very happy with it.

One thing I would suggest to anybody who is painting them -  either undercoat them black or give them a dark wash before you start because some of the mouldlines are so fine you don't notice them until you start painting, and the white surface makes them very hard to see.

That's the only negative I have about this figure, and I will be getting another to stick a top hat on for my Gothic Horror stuff.

EDIT: Meant to say - that's a 35mm washer he's on, so he's quite a big lad. Not bad for just over a quid.

All comments welcome!  :)

Looks fantastic Rob. The flesh is superb :-* :-* :-* I would have perhaps gone for more of a contrast with the fur but thats not a negative.

Ripped shirt to go with the topper?

Cheers guys.  :)

Ripped shirt to go with the topper?

Don't think so, but maybe a monocle...

And it's plastic ??? Is it multipart?

Nope. Tail is cast seperately, but glued on at the factory. I added a dash of liquid greenstuff to strengthen the join, but that's all.

VERY NICELY DONE! That certainly painted up into an impressive piece. It's good to know the plastics can be done up to that high a standard...especially considering the prices of things these days.

Nice work, and the lovely paintjob and palette that you have chosen easily identifies all the detailon this fella.
I am sure many more will be after one of these after seeing this.

Very nice, indeed!

Thanks lads.  :)

Mason's right too, Tim at Miniature Heroes seems to be doing a roaring trade in this range. Seems a lot of people are doing the same as me, buying a couple out of curiosity then going back for a bunch more. At that price, why not?
