My interpretion of the Fallout universe.
« on: April 07, 2012, 06:06:31 PM »
Hello you all. I´ve been lurking around for a while after being recommended this site while posting on another site. I´ve been a vivid fan of the fallout computergames since the first one came out. So on with the pics...I will not comment on the pics unless I feel it necessary.

This squad is my artistic leeway take on NCR. I´ve decided to arm them with boltguns since I felt that equiping a full army with semiautomatic weapons was a bit to industrialized for me. The squad is not meant for front rank combat missions against the Legion. They are patrolling the outskirts of NCR terrtiory and keeping the peace. One of them have been equiped with a LAW just in case. There are some more specialists being converted up to give me some options.

The vault 13 canteen is a nice touch... And it rhymes, too!

Thank you for the replies and the kind words.

Now I will start presenting the cast for you all.

Doc Vacation (based on my fallout NV character).

Doc Vacation are considered the most relaxed gunslinger ever to walk out of the Mojave. He seldom travels anywhere without his trusty handgun - "The Mojito", and a nice sunburn. Doc is the leader of my small gang of mercenaries working out of the small settlement New Koping.

Tribal girl

A daughter of the tribes of NCR. When she´s drunk she keeps bragging about being descendant from some vault dweller. She has part of his clothing in her braids and his canteen by the waist. She also constantly picking fights and sing out of tune to loud.
But she is also decent with a gun and cute to look at, so Doc says she stays.

Kachiko-Sue

A born and breed Texas gal. She isn´t to good with a gun. But it´s ok, because she love to get up close and personal with her family sword.

Constanze

Constanze walked out of Vault 69 a few month back and hook up with the gang after being rescued from rad scorpions. No one has ever seen her out of her vault suit. When asked about it she answers that she can only see one good reason to get out of it and she´s on vacation.

About then Doc usually mumbles...I would love for you to be on Vacation.

I need to get me some foam board  :?

And Vault 69 aye? I'm writing up a FO campaign and nicked that one! I set it in Texas. I hope no one objects! D:

Lovely models, regardless!

Constanze is an Etoile Mortant from Warzone. Target games who where producing them went out of production many years ago. But I think Prince August is still selling them.

Time for some terrain pics. My intention has been to in a quick pace turn out playable terrain. Quantity over quality thinking. But I have also decided that the build have to be top-notch so I can improve them later. So therefore the terrain is not painted at this stage, neither have I put any effort into spackling the foamcore to hide the foam.
On a smaller piece of terrain that are not on the photos I have tried painting with ceiling paint. It seems to work well and not warp the foamcore to much and hide the foam pretty good.
To speed up the building procedure I have worked out standardisation, so there is as little problems olving as possible and as easy to build as possible.

These are a try out I have tried. Only the pringles lids are attached to the road making them easier to store and also more flexible.

Good stuff.  I like the shapes of the buildings.  The big open windows also make it more modern and less "grimdark".  Bonus points for the pringle can lid attaching, that's rather inspired.
