Nice contrast between the rusty armour and those bright feathers and warpaint.  8)

Must be nice doing it for numero uno for a change!

Impressive job Generulpoleaxe!  :o
really like it. I was never able to paint à la Rackham even if I really love this style.
Any info about the painting process would be greatly appreciated :)
Thanks for sharing and keep going mate!

The Rackham style uses two main techniques, the first is the light source (zenithal, from above) and the second is colour contrast to draw attention to certain spots.
You also have the Rackham style patterns, it has an element of the celtic feel but with it's own twist.

Take a look at Paul Bonners artbook that has a lot of the work in he produced for Rackham, you will start to get the "feel" then as you can see how the studio painters used Pauls style to add that extra colour etc to give the miniatures a totaly different feel to what most people were used to at the time (historicals and Gamesworshops 'eavy metal style.)

Once you get used to the fundementals all you need to do is simply use a colour wheel :D
Basic skills plus theory mixed with a whole shit load of practice, ANY person can achieve it.
