Modern Irish Defence Force Soldiers (20mm).

Some time ago I commissioned Matt at Elhiem Miniatures to create some Modern Irish soldiers. There are currently four of them, 3 troops armed with the Steyr AUG, and one with a GPMG (basic squad). Officers, AT weapons and Irish Rangers etc are a possibility for the future as well, and all will be available for sale at Elhiem; this pack is soon to be released!

The plan is these guys will act as a U.N peacekeeping force in Africa and the Middle East. However the greater plan is eventually they will be apart of my What-if WW3 scenario (The Last War Chronicles) fighting with British, Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish troops in Scandinavia against Fascist Russian forces. I hope at some point to get some of the latter mentioned states troops in figure form as well, but thats probably a while off. Enjoy!

Great! Another country using the Steyr Aug. I wonder if they could be substituted for Australians? I am out of my depth here.

They could be used as Aussies at a pinch, however Wartime do 20mm modern Australians with all the kit  , but mayhaps with a bit of green stuff they could look more like Aussies.
