I was thinking of using T&T for the Boshin Wars, it looked to me that it would work as is with no mods needed.
He that trades Liberty for Security will soon find that he has neither.

From what little I know of the rules it should work fine for Sengoku with only a few tweaks  :)

Been thinking more about the Edo period recently and the lack of suitable figure ranges  ;)

I may have a play around with the rules, might steal some bits form the SAGA group to give it a more Japanese feel etc

Now on EDO I am really using what I can from my Sengoku stuff and other unarmoured figures. Wouldnt your Japanese do at a push?

The uniforms is a bit too late really unless you are doing the very final stages. They might do for proxies until a more comprehensive range comes out (which it will do).

Hi,

Green Knight uses the rules with a modification.

I hope I can convince him to put his modifications online to share with others.

Cheers

What kind of scenarios do you mean by "Edo period"?

You can have 'police' scenarios where a small band of villains are terrorising the streets at night and the local 'constabulary' have to track them down, arrest them etc. You have also got the 47 ronin which speaks for itself. There are also films such as Sanjuro and Yojimbo that can be turned into games. There is even an opportunity for foreigners to Japan to cause a bit of trouble.

The Boshin war and Satsuma rebellion are major campaigns for the period.

Lots if possibilities  :)

That's what I'm trying to do right now, but there's a serious lack of miniatures, rules and interested players :-[ There's Museum's 28mm collection and your own buildings, but that's pretty much everything.

The Boshin war and Satsuma rebellion are major campaigns for the period.

Again, I wish someone made miniatures for that. A local player is slowly converting ACW soldiers to the Boshin period!
