You can have 'police' scenarios where a small band of villains are terrorising the streets at night and the local 'constabulary' have to track them down, arrest them etc. You have also got the 47 ronin which speaks for itself. There are also films such as Sanjuro and Yojimbo that can be turned into games. There is even an opportunity for foreigners to Japan to cause a bit of trouble.

The Boshin war and Satsuma rebellion are major campaigns for the period.

Lots if possibilities  :)

Going to be starting with Shinsengumi first and then some villians.

I think some 'not' type figures could be done also  ;)

cheers

That's great news. I hope some of them are useful for the earlier Tokugawa period.

Hi,

The samurai modification is with the original T&T or the colonial supplement?

Thanks

That's a great photo, how was the game?
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Hi,

if I the cards where mine I would give them to you. But I dont even have them. They belong to green Knight and I think you should contact him.

I havent played the variant myself but I saw it and followed the game on a convention in Germany in May this year.

What I can tell is that the game worked well and quiet fluently although there were lots of units and players in the game involved.

Green Knight told me that the first games where a bit slow because of gamers who didnt know the rules and careful actions and some rule bugs which he customized to get a better feeling for the period and to speed it up.

He changed Morale and Combat rules and did some modifications at the damage.
He also created special skills for Samurai, Ninja, and peasents.
There are also new skills for Heroes. He shortened close combat and limited it to two rounds.

Green Knight is a very talented wargamer and when he likes rules  he usually sticks with them and modifies the rules for his needs.

Hope that helped.
Cheers
Björn
