Absolute beginner painting tutorials.
« on: April 19, 2012, 05:49:07 PM »
Does anyone have a good one? My other half has expressed an interest and I doubt my teaching abilities in this department...

Well it might be a good idea to get her a painting book, for example the Foundry has several and GW also just published one, but a bit expensive. You could als just let her sit next to you and have her copy what you're doing

I support the Foundry book for a beginner, and it can be bought for much cheaper off of Amazon rather than the Foundry site.

The Foundry books are pretty damn nice. I bought both even though I've been painting for a while, and am sort of settled in my technique (or lack thereof). Still found them immensely useful and worth the money.
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

Beginner, intermediate or advanced painter, you can't go wrong with the two Foundry books.   :)

Another vote for the Foundry book. Wish I had something like that when I started. Also had a beginner nearby borrow my book for a while and she was really happy with it.
Why aim for gold if you can get lead?

Have you tried You Tube?

There are tons of videos on painting miniatures from beginner to master class.

And it's free.  :D
