Cellfoam for scribing buildings and other terrain
« on: April 21, 2012, 04:13:10 AM »
I am not sure if this has been brought up before for those of us in the US, but I found "Cellfoam 88" by Midwest Products Co. at a Blick Art Materials store.  The foam has a smooth flat surface, comes in at least two thicknesses 1/4 (I think 4 sheet pack) and 3/8 inches (2 sheets for $4.76), and 11 1/2 inches square.  This material eleviates the need to strip the paper from foamcore. The sheet is easy to mark up. Midwest is also a supplier of scale balsa wood.

Sounds like the Depron foam sheets I've recently come into contact with here in Australia.
It's fairly ridgid for a foam sheet and very easy to work with. Just finishing up my first building now.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Sounds useful.  I'll have to check this out.  Thanks for the heads up.
I am not a quack!  I'm a mad scientist.  There IS a difference!
