Finished my cobbling of bits to make a droid, went with a law enforcement scheme, black with twin coat of gloss, no highlights. KISS for a change.

D-5 ("Dee-Five") is a patroldroid of the kind commonly encountered in the darker areas of the city were casualty rates tend to be high. Unarmed apart from some knock out gas these tend to zip around in alleyways looking for crime or anything else they deem worthy of reporting. As these things tend to have a mind of their own (AI software for you) they can be quite the character, and a handfull, as they tend to be overzealous.

D-5 himself has a relaxed attitude but tends to talk alot to himself, and after getting shot at quite a few more times then he/she would like, is a bit skittish. Never used his gas on anything bigger then a housecat.

And a comparison pic with 6mm, 20mm and 28mm

Enjoy. There will be a few more, working on a few Mark 2's now.

Johan

Edit: Just added 2 white dots to his lenses. Forgot that...again.

Very cool little model - looks much nicer painted! And I do like his backstory as well.

You need to have another one that idolizes military hunter-killer drones, uses too much militarese, and augments itself with the latest gadgets out of "Guns & Ammo & Targeter" magazine. :)

No sorry, Aviation buff...was looking for a name that goes with it and was reading about the Catalina Black Cats for painting refs......and then.....alleys....cats.....you know.

Also makes it easier for me with the Mark 2 version and the Milspec versions that I'm making now, Tomcats and Tigercats. One big (fluffy?) feline group.

Though so far, the 6mm Machine Army version is nameless :lipps:

Ah, right, those Cats - good choice.  8)
Since I brought it up, Black Cats were unmanned drones (see why I thought of these?) used by the Saturnians in the 'Operation Saturn' series of adventures.
