Zeds & Survivors [new pics added 27/4/12]
« on: April 24, 2012, 06:09:05 PM »
I'm working on a small group of zombies and a lone survivor as a commission at the moment so thought I'd show a few rough pics of where I'm at so far.

Two Griffin Miniatures zombies

What could be a Steve Buddle zed (I know it's WW2 but it's part of the commission - I think of him as a re-enactor)

Fantastic paintjob. I like the way you painted rotten flesh. Which colour did you use as a base ?
I wish I were an octopus to paint more miniatures...Cthulhu must be a great painter

It's a mix of VGC Sombre Grey and GW's old Tallarn Flesh. First highlight is with more Tallarn Flesh added and then Dheneb Stone (another deceased GW colour) for further highlights.

Thanks, I am not as good as you are but I'll give it a try.

I went on your blog and was wondering who is the new Studio Miniatures painter : now I know  ;)

I really like your style and what you do.

They look great! Fantastic skin tone, thanks for the recipe. I particularly like your colour choice on the professory type - gives a real good image of a character before. Ace work all round!

Even considering the subject, those are BEAUTIFUL minis. The brushwork, choice of colors, & basing are SUPERB...VERY WELL DONE!

I'll have to steal that paint recipe, too.  Fine work.

Egads, I have these minis, and after seeing your treatment of them, I'm tempted to smash mine against the wall.

Great stuff sir.
