Project X and .45 Adventure
« on: July 04, 2006, 07:24:39 PM »
As some of you may have heard, I am working on doing a free download of stats for the Project X figure line. I'm still working on it and waiting for some information to come from North Star but I wanted to provide an early look at what a character will look like.

Now, the one thing I didn't have in the rules yet was power armour, so I figured I would start with that. In the files section of the HLSS and Project X Yahoo Groups are PDFs for the Power Armour Soldat I. The Power armour series are experimental and still have a few gremlins to work out. On a failed test, where the player rolls a 1, the suit could malfunction.

If you are familiar with the .45 Adventure rules already, you will see that the Soldat is a Grade 2, but he has the stat line of a Grade 1. Usually that would mean, easy to kill, but the Power Armor increases the protection and the move to Grade 2 is to reflect that. The model does not get Hero Points, though.

As always, thoughts and comments are welcome.

Rich,

It looks like she is already stacked with stats   ...what? someone had to make a bad pun it might as well be me!

I'm rather new to the whole Weird War II thing but highly intrigued by the whole concept.  Is there somewhere I can get a quick overview that would help me incorporate it into my "world".

Flashy,

Are you talking Weird War II or Project X. They are the same and dissimilar. Project X is Weird War II, but Weird War II is not necessarily Project X.

Go to the North Star website and click on the link to Project X. That will give you an overview of their stuff. Then you might want to check out the The Secret War Yahoo Group.

http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/TheSecretWar/

They have links to all kinds of material for the category.
