More 15mm Vikings...
« on: July 27, 2012, 06:39:26 PM »
I must admit that Verd's 15mm viking post got me inspired to dig up my old 15mm viking army (thanks for the inspiration Verd!). It's been about six years since I painted these, but I plan to get them back on the table and start the rivers of Saxon blood flowing again!

See all of the pictures In My 15mm Viking Gallery.

And here are some that I painted for a commission in 2009 that didn't require basing, I learned how to take better pictures by then:

Thanks
n.

 :o :o :o :-* :-*

Very impressive!

I've seen 28mm Viking armies that look half as good as this!

Very nice, I love the work on the shields and banners. The figures look very good.

Well, you can call it "re-inspiration" or "inspiration back" or something like that.  ::)

Let me explain my viking army history:

1. I needed some 15 mm. figures to play DBMM. Then I saw your vikings and... "WOW! That's the stuff I want!!!"  :o
2. I bought my Baueda's vikings, I painted them trying to copy most of your shields.
3. I compared my army to yours... and then... well... just can say that I need to improve my painting skills...a lot.   :D ;)

Cheers,

You're too kind Verd! I have taken my fair share of inspiration from others as well, and it's great to see new Viking figures being posted! Looking forward to seeing your army as it comes together! But DBMM?!?!? And I thought my DBA army was too many figures to paint! ;)

Also, those Baueda's vikings are very nice, a bit better than the Old Glory figures I think.

Well, A viking DBMM army was the first idea... Actually I think it will be a DBA army  ::)  I'm painting late romans for a DBMM.

Cheers
